Wasp Nest Removal

Wasp Nest Removal

Wasp nests don’t normally need to be removed, though on occasion it maybe necessary.
Our advice is to leave the nest in place where possible.
We advise this because a large number of wasps will be out foraging for food and nest building materials. The treatment we use is only effective once the wasps have been in contact with the dust. Foragers will be returning thru out the day and some will stay out overnight, only returning the following day.
If we remove the nest before all the wasps have returned, then there would be a large number of disoriented angry wasps looking for their home.
In some situations these wasps will rebuild the nest.

If you have a situation where the nest needs to be removed we recommend leaving it in place for a minimum of 24 hours, before removing it. We charge extra for this removal because of the required second visit.
Most nests are left in place as wasps won’t re use a nest from a previous colony or from a previous year.
Sometimes nests are built beside an old nest, but this would probably occur any way even if the nest wasn’t there just because of the suitability of the location.
